Stichting Power to Win

  1. Background and objectives

Stichting Power to Win is a registered non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization, founded on the 5th of March 2017, with the sole aim of providing equal opportunity for every African child, irrespective of religion, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. The foundation is strongly committed to building a new Africa and is therefore established with the aims of providing equal opportunity for future generation via the enhancement of educational opportunities for every orphan and less privileged African Child. The goals and objectives of the Foundation are based on the principles of equal treatment and realistic evaluation of individual achievements.

Stichting Power to Win is an independent and publicly supported charity organization.

   2. Activities

To achieve its Aims and Objectives, Stichting Power To Win shall engage in:

  • Assisting the development of gifted less privileged children and capable young millennials by providing equal opportunities based exclusively on their professional skills; sponsoring their education, vocational training and creative development

  • Providing financial assistance to other orphanages and destitute homes;

  • Establishing social welfare organization that will help rehabilitate children in distress particularly the orphans and less privileged children

To fulfil the aims and objectives as mentioned above, Stichting Power To Win frequently joins efforts with organizations, institutions, corporations, and individuals; to provide financial aids, awards scholarships and educational grants on a non-discriminatory basis.

   3. Fundraising

Stichting Power to Win will raise funds via free will donations made by legal and natural persons all over the world.

    4. Deployment of funds

The Founders Committee shall be responsible for fulfilment of all the Foundation’s fiscal obligations, and for this purpose shall maintain proper accounts and financial records of all its activities.

Stichting Power to Win will make donations through grants where it considers the purpose to meet the goals and objectives of the foundation, for example, to support advocacy and capacity building activities within the Foundation’s key initiatives and also to provide financial assistance to other orphanages and destitute homes.

The Foundation will also deploy the funds necessary to cover costs incurred for legal advice relating to its statutes, any required taxation or other advice related to its day to day activities, and accounting, audit and management/administration costs. The Foundation’s financial year shall correspond to the calendar year.

    5. Management of assets

The property and assets of the Foundation and all income made or derived from there shall belong solely to the Foundation and shall be used and applied by the Foundation only for the attainment of the objectives and the performance of the functions as stipulated in its statute. Property or assets donated, received or transferred to the Foundation shall become the property of the Foundation.

The Foundation shall be established with an unlimited duration. Where, following a decision from the AGM, the Foundation is dissolved all of its assets shall devolve to the voluntary non-profit organization specified in the decision to suspend the Foundation.

     6. Board composition and functions

The Foundation shall be governed by the Founders, structured as a Founders Committee, who shall be responsible for and determine the general policy for performing, carrying out and exercising the objects, functions and powers of the Foundation as postulated in its statute.

The Foundation may from time to time establish branches in various localities, these branches shall be managed by a Branch Director appointed and thus answerable to the Founders Committee.

The Board of the trustees and the founder's committee of Stichting Power to Win currently consists of:

  • Felicia Chukwumaobi (Secretary)

  • Kingsley Metu (Treasurer)

     7. Remuneration Policy

The members of the board shall not receive any remuneration for their activities. They are however entitled to compensation of costs and expenses incurred during the course of carrying out their functions.

Stichting Power to Win does not employ any staff!
